Grades: I have FINALLY completed and entered all hunger game projects in PowerSchool. I just want to say how much I appreciate your patience with this! There were a lot of components to cover. Students got the hard copy of their rubrics back today as well as their pictures. Many students either forgot to share documents with me in Google or forgot to put their name on things. If you see on their rubric that something is missing, please have them get it to me by Friday. There will be no late deduction for this.
Presentations started today. Due to the large crowd of anxious students this morning, I gave students an extra minute for their presentation. If your child did not present today, please review their slide show with them tonight to make sure they have all parts of the rubric covered. Students also have to complete two different peer evaluations during presentations as well. This will be the last grade of the quarter. Upcoming Track-Out: I just wanted to give a heads up that our next unit, "What's the Matter?" is probably the most difficult unit in 6th grade science for most students. During my workday Monday, I will be posting the objectives and review materials if you would like to front-load with your student in order to better prepare them for next quarter. This is not required and will not be taken as a grade or extra credit. These will just be some extra materials that can be used to give your child a head start for the next unit. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an e-mail! Otherwise, have an excellent track-out! :)
