We will be having a vocabulary quiz at the end of this week for the first objective. The words should be in the "vocabulary" section of their binder in a 3-column chart. The words are: relative position, composition, density, crust, mantle, outer core, inner core, asthenosphere, lithosphere, and tectonic plate.
The 6th grade science team has also decided on the dates for two of our three major assessments for this quarter. We will be having a test on the first two objectives Friday, October 7th and we will also have a comprehensive vocabulary test (everything from science safety and the first three objectives of the Land Beneath Our Feet unit) on Thursday, October 20th. Please make sure your child is ready for these by preparing now! If they review their notes and vocabulary words each day, the quizzes and tests will be very easy. :) If you have any questions, feel free to send me an e-mail and I will help you as best as I can.
