This week we will be wrapping up our first Land Beneath our feet objective about the layers of the Earth. Our essential questions for this objective are: 1) What are the layers of the Earth? 2) What order are they in? 3) Why are they in that order? and 4) What is their composition? Please discuss these questions at home with your child this week to make sure that they are on track. If they can't answer these questions, you may want to have them come to my morning tutoring session before our upcoming test. Last week we also spent almost four days working on our Earth diagrams in class. If your child did not get this complete, I gave them the option to come tomorrow (Tuesday 6:45-7:45 am) during my tutoring time to get it finished. Otherwise, I will take whatever is complete for a grade on Tuesday. The assignment is attached if you would like to see what they needed to complete. We will also be having our first test on October 7th. Students will get a study guide for this test the week of and will have to complete it for homework. It will cover the first two objectives of this unit. Please make sure to review your child's notes with them for a few minutes each night so that they do not get behind for this test.
